Cozumel visited by 120 travel agents from CANADA
COZUMEL, MX.- A total of 120 managers from several important canadian travel agencies visit Cozumel, in order to assess the main attractions in the Island, for a better understanding of Cozumel's attractives from among the different sites where they operate.
The 120 managers arriving from different cities in Canada, among them Sears travel agents, the largest agency for the wholesaler Signature Vacations, arranged for a road show of several caribbean hot-spots with the purpose of experiencing and offering those vacation sites.
The objective of this important visit to Cozumel, is that the travel agents have a better understanding and knowledge of the amenities and attractions available in Cozumel, for a better marketing and promotion of the island.
During the visit, Cozumel's Tourist Board headed by Raul Marrufo Gonzalez, received guests in a welcoming reception, and thereafter started the tour around the diverse attractions such as underwater splendors with a dive & snorkel tour, as well as the recently renovated City Square & downtown area, in order to position Cozumel as the leader in duty free shopping in the area.
" We will be in searcho of more and better opportunities for the tourist promotion of Cozumel, due to the strength of the canadian currency and the proximity of our countries" indicated Marrufo González.
He concluded that " in the continuous search to diversify our visitors, both in America as well as Europe, towards our island, not only in the winter but also throughout the rest of the year, the our guest agents can assess that Cozumel is a year long attractive destination."
